Three roles, all of them on the floor at some point

Easarc is a few months old. Everybody here talks to customers, everybody goes into units, and nobody has a job description that protects them from that. All three roles are on-site in Surat.

What we are hiring for right now

If none of these are quite you but you want to work on this problem, write anyway and say what you would do here.

Full-stack Engineer

Flow and Desk · Surat, Gujarat — on-site

Full time
Experience
2–6 years
Compensation
₹14–28 LPA plus equity
Location
Surat

You will own features end to end in Flow: the order model, the screens the floor uses on a phone, and the compliance plumbing that turns an order into an IRN and an e-way bill. This is not a role where somebody hands you a Figma file.

What you will do

  • Build and ship features across the stack — TypeScript, Next.js, Node, Postgres on AWS
  • Design the data model for order, work order and stage transitions, including the messy real-world cases like partial dispatch and job-work returns
  • Integrate with the GST e-invoice IRP, the NIC e-way bill API, Tally and the WhatsApp Business API
  • Sit with supervisors in units around Surat and watch them use what you built
  • Take a share of the on-call rota once we have customers depending on us

What we need

  • Strong TypeScript, and comfort in both React and a Node backend
  • Real experience with relational data modelling — you can explain why a schema is wrong
  • Willing to work on-site in Surat and to spend time on factory floors
  • Able to hold a working conversation in Gujarati or Hindi

Nice to have

  • You have integrated an Indian government API before and survived it
  • Experience with offline-first or flaky-network mobile web
  • You have worked at a company small enough that you also answered support tickets

ML Engineer (Vision)

Vision · Surat, Gujarat — on-site

Full time
Experience
3–7 years
Compensation
₹18–34 LPA plus equity
Location
Surat

You will own defect detection: the models, the training loop, and the unglamorous edge pipeline that gets frames off a camera in a dusty unit and into an endpoint in Mumbai. The hard part here is not the architecture, it is the data.

What you will do

  • Train and tune per-customer defect models on SageMaker, starting from a small and badly labelled dataset
  • Build the labelling workflow that a QC person can actually use during a shift
  • Own the edge pipeline on AWS IoT Greengrass — sampling, buffering and backfill when the link drops
  • Set and defend the precision and recall targets, and be honest with customers about what the model will miss
  • Go to the unit when a model underperforms, and work out whether the problem is the model or the lighting

What we need

  • Solid computer vision fundamentals and production PyTorch
  • You have deployed a model that other people depended on, not only trained one
  • Comfortable with the AWS ML stack, or fast at picking it up
  • Willing to work on-site in Surat and spend real time next to machines

Nice to have

  • Experience with defect detection, anomaly detection or industrial inspection
  • Edge inference and model quantisation
  • You have worked with textiles, printing or any continuous-web process

Customer Success

Customer · Surat, Gujarat — on-site

Full time
Experience
2–5 years
Compensation
₹8–16 LPA plus equity
Location
Surat

You are the person who onboards a unit onto Flow, and the reason it is still being used three months later. Half of this job happens inside other people’s factories, and it is the most important role in the company right now.

What you will do

  • Run onboarding end to end: map the unit’s process, import their order history, configure stages, train the floor and the office
  • Be the named contact for a portfolio of units in and around Surat
  • Translate what customers actually do into product requirements the engineering team can act on
  • Build the Gujarati and Hindi training material — short videos, one-page guides, whatever gets used
  • Own renewal conversations, and flag honestly when a customer is not getting value

What we need

  • Fluent Gujarati and Hindi, and comfortable English for written work
  • Experience in customer success, implementation or account management at a software or B2B company
  • Genuinely comfortable in an industrial environment — this is not a desk job
  • Two-wheeler or car, and willing to travel across the Surat industrial belt

Nice to have

  • You have worked in or around textiles, and know what a process house is like at 3pm
  • Familiarity with GST compliance and how manufacturers handle it
  • You have built training material for people who do not read manuals

Hiring process

What applying here looks like

  1. You write to us

A CV and a few paragraphs. Tell us about something you built or fixed and what went wrong with it. We read everything and reply either way, usually within a week.

  2. A call, 45 minutes

Mostly about your work, partly about ours. You should come out of it knowing what the job actually involves, including the parts that are tedious.

  3. A paid exercise

A small, real problem from our backlog, scoped to about four hours, paid at ₹8,000. You keep the work. We do not run unpaid take-homes and we do not do whiteboard algorithms.

  4. A day in Surat

You meet the team, we go to a customer unit together, and you see what the work is like. We cover travel and stay. Offer or no offer within two days after.
